The Richard Mille RM 53-01 Tourbillon ‘Pablo Mac Donough’ is a cutting-edge timepiece built for one of the most physically demanding sports in the world: polo. Limited to just 30 pieces, this reference was engineered in direct collaboration with the legendary Argentine polo champion to withstand the violent shocks of a mallet strike without sacrificing the tourbillon’s mechanical finesse. The 50mm tonneau-shaped case is crafted entirely from layered Carbon TPT, giving it a unique striped texture and exceptional resistance to impact, torsion, and thermal fluctuation.
At the heart of the watch is a manually wound tourbillon movement suspended by a system of braided steel cables, creating a floating architecture that isolates the caliber from shocks—an unprecedented feat in horology.
