Imagine the impossible, make it a reality. This is the challenge the ST Dupont High Jewelery Creation embraces in a new collection. Like translating the line 2 lighter into a full paving diamond High Jewelery lighter, making it as sublime and sensual as the “Diamonds are forever” that inspired it.
This High Jewelery lighter embodies the traditional, French savoir-faire process. Each piece is made entirely by hand, from the initial design sketch by the High Jewelery Artistic Director, to the construction and creation of the piece by the craftspeople in the ST Dupont atelier.
On the yellow gold-plated lighter, 710 diamonds measuring 1.3 mm and weighing 0.0085 carats, each is finely embedded on the rear rectangular piece, with 586 on the front. The piece counts 1,296 diamonds, for a total of 11,016 carats.

Simon Tissot Dupont created his first-ever luggage sets after acquiring a leather workshop in 1872. From this point onwards, the Maison quickly became de rigueur for kings, princes, and other high-profile personalities, giving rise to a new art of travelling, and henceforth representing the French art-de-vivre worldwide: going as far as being dubbed the “Kings’ trunk-maker”. The high level of quality requirement from the clientele meant the need to maintain the best savoir-faire possible.
1941 marked the appearance of the 1st petrol-fuelled lighter, which was then followed by the 30s-style ‘Ligne 2’ model in the 70s that the Maison could redefine itself.
These were the very first introduction and steps of ST Dupont into the luxury lighter industry, which would grow and continue to this day and age.
